The OMS Freeski Program provides athletes the opportunity to grow across all areas of park and pipe skiing, including slopestyle, rail jam, halfpipe, and ski cross. Our freeskiers develop strong fundamentals, learn smart and safe progression, and build the confidence to ski all types of terrain. The program is designed to support both athletes who simply want to advance their skills and those who aspire to compete at higher levels.

OMS freeskiers train six days a week, spending their mornings on snow with our full-time coaching staff and their afternoons in strength and conditioning, video review, or sessions on our indoor fly-bed trampoline.

Okemo Mountain offers a dedicated freeski training venue. Athletes train daily in the mountain’s halfpipe and in the OMS-influenced slopestyle park, a course designed with input from OMS coaches and athletes. Both the pipe and park are accessed by a surface lift, making it possible for freeskiers to take more than twenty-five high-quality laps each morning and get the consistent repetition necessary for progression.

Many OMS freeskiers choose to compete, and the program supports athletes at every stage of that process. Most begin with the USASA Southern Vermont Series, and top skiers qualify for USASA Nationals. Athletes who continue to progress may earn opportunities to move into the Futures Tour, followed by the Revolution Tour, and ultimately the Grand Prix level. OMS coaches travel with and support athletes at all levels of competition.

To maintain strength, fundamentals, and momentum, OMS offers additional on-snow and off-season camps. These sessions help athletes stay connected to their goals, refine technique, and continue progressing outside the winter season.
