This year we will be hosting a two-day Ski Cross camp open to anyone on the Okemo Mountain Freeski Team, with a specific focus on athletes planning to compete in the Stratton Ski Cross competitions on 1/30, 1/31, and/or 2/1. There is still space available in all three competitions, and athletes are encouraged to attend at least one competition day, with Friday, 1/30 strongly recommended for campers.

This is an excellent opportunity for skiers of all levels to receive ski cross–specific training leading directly into our ski cross events.

Wednesday, 1/28 – Okemo Mountain

We will host on-snow training focused on racing fundamentals from 9:00–2:30. The day will wrap up with a trampoline session at Okemo Mountain School from 3:30–4:30. Parents are responsible for pick-up at Okemo after on-snow training and drop-off at OMS for the trampoline session.

Thursday, 1/29 – Stratton Mountain

Training will take place in the ski cross course at Stratton. If an athlete does not have an Ikon Pass, a training ticket may be purchased at a discount. Athletes should meet at OMS at 8:00 AM for a shuttle to Stratton. On-snow training will run until 2:30, followed by a shuttle back to OMS and a trampoline session to wrap up the day (approximately one hour).

Campers will eat lunch on the mountain both days and should come prepared with a packed lunch or money to purchase food.

This is a great opportunity for athletes to get extra training and a taste of academy life. Daily schedules are subject to change based on the number of campers. Athletes may register for the full two-day camp ($300) or for individual days ($165 per day). All campers will receive a camp sweatshirt.

Please note: This is a day camp - no housing is provided. Camp fees do not include lift access at Okemo or Stratton. If your child needs lift access, please contact the camp coordinator.

GENERAL REFUND POLICY:

In the event that a camper is unable to attend a session for which they have registered, their parent/guardian must notify Cassy Gates, Freeski Head Coachr, by email (cgates@okemomountainschool.org) 30+ days prior to the associated camp start date to receive a refund for paid registration less 10% for processing and administration fees, or to receive the full amount as credit for a future OMS camp.

Campers who cancel by email notice less than 30 days prior to camp start date are eligible to receive full credit for a future OMS Camp. Refunds are not available less than 30 days prior to the respective camp start date unless the spot can be filled by a waitlisted camper.  In this case, a refund of the camp fee less 10% will be issued.
