On Sunday September 30th two OMS students and four members of the OMS faculty competed and completed all fifty miles of the Vermont 50 Mountain Bike Race. Myles Trainer '11, Tanner Mottau '12, freestyle coaches Mike Bruno and Chris Marks, alpine coach Joe Sampson and Buisness Manager Pam Trainer all completed the race. The Vermont 50 is a bike race that benefits and is hosted by Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports. This annual race is a classic for both local Vermonters and New England endurance enthusiasts
alike. Every year over six hundred bikers and runners sign up six months in advance to compete in this late September classic. All of our athletes who competed last year improved on their previous times. If you are interested in riding next year, visit www.vermont50.com and learn more about the cause and the event. Just make sure you are up for a 6:30 AM start time and a long morning in the saddle.
